Responsibilities of Interns

1) History taking, physical examination, proposing diagnostic methods and differential diagnosis for all patients they are responsible for during their daily and night shifts.

2) Daily visit of patients and writing progress notes.

3) Performing responsibilities under direct supervision of attending physician or resident.

4) Active and regular participation in educational classes for example morning report, conferences, grand rounds etc.

5) Presentation of patients in educational rounds under supervision of attending physicians or residents, including brief presentation, reasons for admission etc.

6) Being present in the hospital according to schedules proposed by head of each department.

7) Being present in optimum number of night shifts.

8) Accompanying severely ill patients during transportation to other centers.

9) Presentation of admitted patients in morning report.
