Pediatrics ward

Activities performed by this ward:

Mean number of patients hospitalized in this ward per month: 40-50

Diagnostic procedures performed in this ward: Clinical examination and diagnostic procedures including obtaining samples from gastric fluid, CSF, bone marrow aspiration and liver biopsy

Therapeutic procedures performed in this ward and the target patients:
- Daily visit of the hospitalized patients( pulmonary and TB)by the attending physician in charge
- Weekly grand round of all patients by the attending physicians
- Visit of patients by a physician along with a nutritionist for educating the patients regarding their dietary regimen and calculating the calorie based on the type of disease
- Phototherapy of newborns, suffering from jaundice in the neonatal ward
- Physiotherapy of the extremities and the respiratory system
- Nebulizer Therapy in asthmatic children

Out Patient Clinic:
The clinic admits patients Saturday through Thursday from 8AM to 2 PM
Activities performed in the clinic: Out patient visit of patients, Medication prescription, teaching the patients how to use the inhaler, follow up of patients with chronic pulmonary diseases and asthma.
-  Performing PFT in asthmatic children
- Monthly follow up of Cystic Fibrosis patients.
- Monthly follow up of Tuberculosis patients.
- Tuberculosis Contact tracing. 

Target patients:
Children presenting to the clinic as outpatient and patients presenting to the clinic as emergency

- Admission and hospitalization of patients referred by the private offices
