1- Setting short term and long term educational goals
2- Compiling and planning continuous educational programs to obviate the present educational needs
3- Preparing the means required for evaluating the educational activities of related wards
4- Face to face training of patients in each ward
5- Scheduling the students’ time table (to enroll in respiration, lung cancer and lung surgery courses)
6- Scheduling the time table of anesthesia assistant and operating room technician students
7- Accepting ICU continuing education course trainees
8- Introducing the personnel for participation in professional courses
9- Establishing scientific and educational nursing groups with the aim of improving the scientific level and function of nurses since 2000
10- Providing nursing books in Farsi and English for hospital library and libraries of the wards.
11- Participation and cooperation in control and supervision of the wards to find the educational needs
12- Training new personnel
13- Participation and cooperation in conducting research projects
14- Training personnel (observing their relationship with patients, writing cardex and reports and offering nursing services through weekly visits of the wards)
15-  Coordination for participation of nurses in national conferences and workshops
16- Holding national workshops and conferences
17- Holding professional periodic exams for nurses
