Office of education affairs of Educational, Research, and Medical center of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease was established in 1991 under direct supervision of Dr.Mohammad Reza Masjedi, educational deputy of that time.
 
 Activities of this unit are based an:
             
1) educational affairs
2)  personnel affairs
A) Educational affairs:
 A total of 40 full time specialist and sub-specialist are active in clinical, education and research divisions of this center. Also domuments of 5 other specialists are being reviewed for recruitment  Subspecialty fellowships also participate in educating residents, inters, and students of medicine.
 Trainees of this center consists of subspecialty fellowships, residents inters, medical students, and students of nursing, book keeping , nutrition, laboratory , psychology, and pharmacy. Also each month a number of subspecialty fellowships, specialists, and students of different fields refer to this center to be trained by related departments.
 Training is the responsibility of the following groups: internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, cardiology, tuberculosis, ENT, oncology, pathology, tobacco control, transplantation, anesthesiology, statistics and epidemiology, and office of international education and research relations.
It is noteworthy that education classes are held for trainees by attending on a regular monthly basis.

B)   Personnel affairs
Activities are as follows: Promotion, education history of scientific committee, transformation of position, office license, …
Specialties and subspecialties:
Educational, Research and Medical Center of Tuberculosis and Lung Disease is one of the leading centers for training subspecialties in the field of  tuberculosis and lung disease in the country and among countries of the region.
Subspecialty courses:
- Educating subspecialties in the field of pulmonary diseases through out the country.
- Courses on lung pathology: Pathology residents take a 2-3 month course.
- Bronchoscopy: Guest physicians, especially anesthesiologists take one month courses
- Sophisticated lung tests.
- Sleep test.
- Tuberculosis: All residents of internal medicine and fellowships of pulmonary diseases take a 2 month course.

Establishment of one month courses:  (Internal scholarships on pulmonary diseases).
The following courses have been held each month since 2001:
1) Pulmonary diseases.
2) Bronchoscopy.
3) Spirometery
4) Tuberculosis laboratory and pathology.
5) ICU

Research opportunities:
According to deputy of technology and research of Iran this center is considered host for research opportunities regarding tuberculosis and lung diseases through out the country. All board members can take advantage of this opportunity by   presenting introduction letters from related universities.
