International Affairs Department
one of the NRITLD goals is to have mutual cooperation with well known international centers, International affairs Department  has been established on 1997 in order to fulfill this purpose.
International Positions and collaborations of NRITLD:
• WHO Collaborating Center for Tuberculosis Education in EMRO (one of the 6 WHO regional offices around the world) for 3 consecutive periods of 4 years since 1993 till now.
• WHO Collaborating Center for Tobacco Control since 2007 till now.
• Collaborating centre in Global Alliance against chronic Respiratory Diseases in Iran (GARD, Iran).
• Secretariat Office of Iranian Stop TB Committee.
• Training Affairs Office, Self-Reliance in Vaccine Production among Islamic Countries  2005-2008 with collaboration of IDB(Islamic Development Bank)
• Secretariat Office of IUATLD Middle East Region Office, 1996- 2008.
Activities of International affairs Department:
• Close cooperation with international affairs office of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical sciences.
•    Promoting collaboration in fields of mutual interest with international institutions like WHO, IUATLD, ERS, Stop-TB, GARD and IDB.
•    Developing academic, educational and research co-operation MoU with other international universities and institutions.
• Coordinating the international affairs of other departments of NRITLD in organizing international Congress and workshops, seminars and symposium.
• Facilitating the travel arrangement of NRITLD members for attending in the international congresses, workshops, Seminars and sabbatical.
• Facilitating all travel arrangement for foreign guests of NRITLD (Visa, Accommodation, flight …).
• Conducting summer research for foreign students.
